White screen laptop ideapad z500

Hi everyone,

Yesterday my computer worked great but this morning when i turnd it on, i got only white screen...

Help anyone?

Re: white screen seems a good solution against white screens.

Anyway, nobody here can help. You'll either have to fix it yourself or have it repaired. Things to try;
- Boot into the BIOS and see if there's anything strange.
- Boot from a Linux disc (free to make) and see what it finds when you look at your disks
- Boot into the makers diagnostics software.
- Boot from your recovery disc and see if it offers to reinstall Windows.

In short, try this.

Power off, remove charger, remove battery (if yours is inside, leave it), press and hold the power button for 60 seconds, release. Slip in battery, apply power and test.

If you can't get to the BIOS or see any screen try an external monitor to see if you can get your files safe.

Then get repair estimates.
