I know this subject has been beat to death but I'm yet another victim of Samsung not doing anything about my DMD chip.
I spoke with Samsung last night about my issue and all the guy could tell me was my T.V. was out of warranty. I kept telling him I knew that but this was the DMD board issue and he just kept saying "sorry sir you tv no longer in warranty". There was definately a huge language barrier (which is another pet peeve I have but not here nor there) and I gave up with him. He did set me up with a local repair shop. That shop called me today and told me it would cost $550 to repair the tv. For that price I can guy buy a new LCD.
I called Samsung again today, the lady I spoke with said my model was not on the list for repairs. I asked her if Samsung stood behind their product at all and her response was, "No sir". I guess that's all I really need to hear. Samsung has a very common issue with their tv's and they don't care. I guess they already got their money from me so why stand behind it?
If anyone has some helpfull advice for me it would be nice. Please hurry though because I'm headed to Best Buy this weekend to get another T.V. It obviously WONT be a Samsung.
