White Dots on Samsung DLP

by dblanding / November 25, 2011 3:16 AM PST

I am having white dots showing up on my 3 year old Samsung DLP (HLT6756WX/XAA) TV. From reading some of the posts, Samsung is replacing the DMD chip on some models, but not other models. My model is one that Samsung feels there have not been "enough" defective chips to warrant favorable treatment (free repair). Has anyone with this model been able to get their TV repaired for free from Samsung? If not, approximately what has been the cost to repair this problem?

Did you try the SERVICE ISSUES at the top of the post?

And the cost to repair varies on location and model. I've seen costs from 500 to 1K.

I didn't see the service issues at the top of the post? Where do I find this?

It's at the top, maybe post number 2 labeled SERVICE ISSUES.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
