Question

WHITE DOTS ON FOUR-YEAR OLD SAMSUNG DLP TV

by michaelrayburn / August 22, 2011 2:22 PM PDT

i purchased a Samsung DLP tv in Feb. 2007. I have had no problems with the TV and have enjoyed its great photo. Over the course of the last couple of days, white dots have started appearing on the screen. The dots started on the bottom left side and now stretch all of the way up the left side of the screen to the top and have started creeping toward the middle. Is there anything I can do? Please help.

White Dots On Four-Year Samsung DPL TV

You and I are both in the same boat, only difference is we brought ours in July 2007. My TV is completly covered now. We have contacted Samsung, but they would not help. I will try again, and again, and again. This TV cost us over $2,000.00. There is no way I can sleep at night if I let this go. As for the problem, it is beleived to be a DMP Board or a Digital Micromirror Device. If this is your problem you are not along. There are many with this same problem. This part is very expensive. I was given an estimate of almost 1/4 of what we paid for the tv. WOW. Good Luck to you Sir.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
