White Dots!

by bam1565 / September 6, 2010 8:32 AM PDT

I called Samsung customer service a couple months ago and found out that my model #HLT5076SX/XAA did not qualify to be fixed like the previous model. The more I think about it the more this frustrates me. My tv is experiencing the same problems as the sets that were covered. I have heard people on here have had success with Samsung. Can someone offer advice on how to get Samsung to listen?

Samsung White Dots

I had the same issue with the 5076s. Got the same "unit is not covered" message from the folks at Samsung customer service. I called again, got no help, wrote letters, never heard back. Finally called again and all but threatened that I was about to write the New Jersey Consumer Protection Agency (or whatever it's called, I can't remember at the moment...not the BBB but a government agency) and finally got someone to come out and fix the problem at no charge. Just be a pain in the you-know-what (be nice, but don't take "no" for an answer) and you should be able to get some results.;7f

I'm glad that Samsung finally fixed the issue, but the fact that I had to jump through hoops and basically threaten to report them makes me wonder about their commitment to quality. Anyway, good luck and post back here so that others can see what happens.
