White Dot Issue-Samsung HLT5676SX/CAA

by glennburg / February 25, 2011 3:38 AM PST

Just started getting white dots today. After reading this forum and learning that it involves a defective chip, I called Samsung, only to hear that my model was not covered. While reading other posts I see that this model has in fact been covered. Can you offer any Help?

Ticket #4007950399
Model # HLT5676SX/XAA

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your HLT5676.

I've sent a service ticket to see if I could have your case reviewed by one of the service managers as of this evening. I can't determine or suggest if this will result in a repair covered by Samsung, but one of the managers will review your case.

Hello Samsung Tech

Ditto with the dot's. Samsung wants to send second hand repair at my expence? Bummer, 400.00 is the cost. Would be greatful if you could help me to get Samsung to stand behind this defective chip causing the problem.

My ticket # is 4008301851

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
