Whitch Camera, have been looking for awhile

Dec 19, 2004 4:37AM PST

I have been looking for a DC for a while and have come up with theses:

Canon PowerShot A95
Fujifilm FinePix E510
HP Photosmart R707
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P93

I have looked at the reviews for each DC, and they all have a good rating.

What I am looking for is a DC that has the option for point and shoot but has manual controls. with a reassembly fast time from power on to first shot.

any suggestions, or another cam that would be in the
$500can price range.

Thank you

Choices

I see why you are having a problem making a decision.
All get good ratings from reviewers.
All 5meg and priced pretty close.

Try taking a look at the specifications side-by-side and see if anything hits your eye:

I did note that the Fuji has a wide angle lens if you have need for such.

The Canon and Fuji offers more manual controls:

They have Aperature and Shutter Priority.
The HP has Aperature Priority only.
The Sony has neither, but has Manual.

different futures
Dec 19, 2004 11:13PM PST

Thank you for the link, they all have different futures that I would like to have.

Example:
HP & Sony: Both have an unlimited movie capture to limit of the size of the card

Canon & Fuji: as you said, have a larger selection for manual controls.

Canon has the flip screen which will give better protection for the LCD screen

Canon & HP: have the 2 preferred card types (compact flash - SD)

HP: has a higher over all zoom

I believe the Fuji had the higher optical zoom.

What would you choose.

Thank you
