Resolved Question

While using, my desktop suddenly freezes and then restarts.

Sometimes (1 or 2 times a day) my screen freezes and then computer restarts automatically. After the restart everything run perfectly. Then again after few hours it may suddenly restart again. Why is this happening? Any help will be appreciated.

Link: https://valid.x86.fr/s71hm8

PSU: Corsair VS450 (15 days old)

Note: Every time it happened, I was in YouTube. Didn't happen during gaming or other stuff. I am facing this problem for 2 or 3 days. Before that it was fine.

There are so many ideas on this.

"NVidia power management setting from optimal to max!" came up more than once. The machine otherwise looks OK.

What could the reason be?

It only happened when I left music videos running on YouTube for an hour or more

Then it's some audio or video bug.

In reply to: What could the reason be?

Some note this happens with the Nvidia audio driver. This is one of those areas with so many items to try. I'd list more but find folk don't want to try things today. They want "the answer" which is from my experience found by trying things.

When you build your own, such issues are likely because you get to work the problem rather than Dell getting it all working then making thousands of the same PC.

-> This is why for making PCs I copy what others have made in the thousands. Example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace/wiki/builds

Since it's such a new build why wasn't the BIOS made current?

PS.

In reply to: Then it's some audio or video bug.

There's another item I'd change but with the outdated BIOS it will have to wait till the BIOS is current.

My BIOS version was F7 previously. I updated it to F8.

In reply to: PS.

The Gigabyte BIOS app doesn't recommend updating BIOS to F10. May be because it's optimized for the 9th generation CPUs and mine is 8th.

Thanks for taking your time. I will have to wait and see if the problem persists.

Odd

I didn't find that note. The BIOS update would set the CPU core voltage which looks low in the report. I only bump up that after I go to the latest BIOS, but you didn't so I can't offer this yet.
