Which ZUNE to DVD Converter is Best?

by Confed / December 10, 2007 10:18 AM PST

It needs to be Vista compatible and it would be better if it did conversions quickly. I've seen some Zune to DVD converters that only convert in real time (1x). Cost is a factor, but performance is important. I've seen few that are as polished as DVD Shrink, a free DVD to computer package.

Any recommendations or "Watch Out for xxxxxx" would be appreciated. I hear there are some pretty awful converters out there and from the couple I've tried, I need some recommendations. (Some didn't even include codecs!)

Thanks!

You're Right: DVD to ZUNE

Yes, I meant DVD to ZUNE. Most of the ones I've tried are pretty bad and slooooooow. Some had problems lip-synching, which was horribly annoying. Again, any good tips would be appreciated.

Slow is normal.

I'd skip the long reasons why. But I will note that I use HANDBRAKE and another "freeware dvd ripper" for the first step to an .AVI file. From there the Zune software takes over.

In closing, all this is now much faster since I replaced the desktop from a 2GHz P4 to a Core 2 Duo machine.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
