I'd go with the LG burner. The case has an external power supply and case fan, both positive aspects. It's easy, just connect them, making sure the drive jumper is set to master.
I am looking to add an external DVD burner to my dell laptop, and speed is not much of a concern so I am okay with a USB 2.0 setup. I, unfortunately, understand little about this subject. I was wondering if either of these two drives (links below) would be able to be placed in a 5.25" external enclosure (Link Below) and connect to my laptop via USB 2.0? Basically, I am wondering if I were to purchase one of these drives and an enclosure would I be able to assemble an external DVD burner? Thanks in advance for your help!
