Which way do I go? Good Picture Quality With Video

I would REALLY appreciate your help!
I am looking for a digital camera that takes good quality, clear pictures that also has video capability.
I have a small child with another coming in the future, and would like a 2-in-1 model that I can get nice photos of my babies, as well as video their firsts.
Any suggestions? Thank You!

The Canon A620 will be hard to beat.

Sharp photos, low shutter lag at a good price.

You can judge for yourself.
