Question

Which version of flash plug-in shouldI I choose?

Jan 18, 2015 1:12PM PST

I am setting up my new Samsung TV UN60H6203AFXZA, and need to download an Adobe flash player plug-in for the web browser.
System is "Linux 32-bit,English, Chrome.
Choice is ""YUM for linux (YUM)" or ".tar.gz for other Linux".
I dont want to install the wrong one; I would never figure out how to un-install. I am a digitally challenged senior citizen.

Not one Samsung to date has allowed download and install of a flash player. Everyone will want to know how this turns out.

No. I was trying to play a video on Facebook.

That usually fails. Here's why.

The flash player and web browser on most if not all smart TVs is a very old limited version. On top of that, Facebook doesn't test for smart TV compatibility.

I want to try and see what happens. But, will someone please tell me which version is likely to be compatible with my system? I will select and see what happens. I will also report the results.

Sorry but this would be the very first time.

No one, so far, in 2014 and prior has been able to do this. This is not a PC so maybe you are just new to Samsung's Smart TV.

So far, the code is locked down and only can be updated by Samsung. Hey, we all wish it was more open.

Thanks! The information provided by the Samsung tech was very informative and useful.
AND, the problem resolved its-self, with no input from me. The next time I opened "Facebook" and clicked on a video clip. it just started to play! No request for other action; just plays right away.

Which should I chose

I was on QVC and wanted to look at a video it said my flash needed to be updated. The button update now was present so I clicked it, brought me to the Adobe Flash page that said the same thing as the question above, I to would love to see if any would work... It may work with some of the game sites like pogo that also gives same issue.

As above, there is no such update.

Adobe stopped work on this years ago. As such you won't find an update.
