I bet the print straight from the printer would use less. I have the c4780 and noticed the copy could pick up something in the white space and spray ink where it wouldn't from a direct print.
I have a Photosmart C309g printer. I am needing to print a fairly large quantity of pages that include photos. I can either print straight from the printer or print one copy and make color copies. If the print quality is set the same, does the printer use the same amount of ink printing the same thing from the computer as it does making a color copy, or can I save some ink using one method over another?
