Which UPS System for Wireless Phone?

Jun 28, 2010 1:07PM PDT

I need to get a UPS system for our Clearwire phone box (power keeps going out and we cannot use our phone). I also need to connect the modem and router.

Any suggestions which UPS system? I would like to get at least 60 minutes, or more if possible of phone usage.

We will only be connecting the Clearwire phone box, modem and router, nothing else.

Frankly?

Given the usual power draw of such parts I think even the smallest UPS from your local office store will be fine for 60 minutes.

Small unit?

If that's all you plan to install on an UPS, the typical entry offering will do fine. Getting a large one maybe redundant or offer longer service, but they still fall into a "life cycle" just being idle.

Here's a quick selection link for needs:

Good point about "life cycle"

I like that detail. It's why we don't want to over invest here. Getting a bigger unit might extend the time that it will last without AC but would not extend it's life span.
