for that device you just need a large enough SD card, or whatever fits it, to hold the photo's you will be taking.
The Apple iPad2 does not take a memory card directly but can if the optional camera connection kit is purchased.
That said, pictures taken with the iPhone and iPad can be directly uploaded to the iCloud and not require additional terrestrial storage.
The MS Surface RT takes a Micro SD card up to 64GB. That could take your movies and display them. It would also depend on where the movies are coming from. Are they Rips of your owned DVD's or do you have another source?
Will Internet Access be a feature of your vacation in Florida. If so, then services like Amazon or Netflix will be available and would not require any storage devices.
Notwithstanding all the above, I can't see you getting just one device, define device by the way, to suit all of the different devices.
Enjoy the vacation

Hi, we're going on holiday to Florida and are baffled which storage device to use to store our movies and photos. We need one that is compatible with the following devices that we will be taking with us. Apple iPad 2, Microsoft Surface RT, Nikon Coolpix L26 camera. We'd like to be able to store around 10 films for the children to watch whilst we're travelling but also to save the photos and videos from our phones (nokia lumia 625 and iPhone 5s) and camera (coolpix l26) that we'll use during the day. We've been looking at a 64gb device but are concerned we'll be buying the wrong thing. Any help would be really appreciated.
