frunkis,
Welcome to the forum.
There are a lot of options to choose from. This year's Samsung lineup for Samsung LED Televisions will max out at 55" for our largest model. Samsung LED Televisions will not need bulb replacements (well, ideally, unless something goes terribly wrong!)
But the model you listed, and the technology you described is the Samsung LED DLP lineup, so I wanted to make that distinction. If you ask for a Samsung LED TV, they will take you to an LCD panel. So you might want to remember the DLP part. (I know, it can get confusing!)
DLP (Digital Light Processing) Technology can get up to 72", however, as of 2009, we will be cutting our production of DLP units altogether. It's a great technology, and we will continue to support and service them, but will not be manufacturing new ones. Those units will have replacable lamps (Usually about US $200-300.)
The 72" DLP units will use the traditional lamps, while the smaller sizes and models can use an LED Lamp. If size matters, then the only choice is with the traditional lamp, and not the LED.
The traditional lamp will last @5000 to 6000 hours.
The LED based lamp will last @30,000 hours.
Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any other questions.

as big as possible
pretty sure i want an LED.. i don't want to be replacing bulbs every couple years.
PC input is a must
plasma and LCD are too pricey
samsung seems reliable.. if i spend $2000 on a TV, i'd expect it to last for the rest of my life
at first i was leaning on the HL72A650, but it isnt LED is it? can anyone suggest a model?
thank you very much ![]()
