I think cingular has come a long way, most people who had the old 1900Mhz phone will have some coverage problems.
Quadband phones I like motorola V620 and Motorola V3 razr, the price of the razr has come down a lot so it make cents now.
you can visit my site www.romeohifi.com we care the original motorola V3 razr, and like you a travel a lot so I know what you mean
I travel a lot through Europe, SE Asia and USA and in the past have had to carry at least 2 phones. I am thinking about chucking both of my existing ones and going to a quad band GSM, pay-as-you-go system with only one phone. I would have a collection of SIM cards for the countries I visit and then just buy time when I am there. I also would like to be able to pick up emails occasionally on the phone.
BIG QUESTION...who do I use in the USA. T-Mobile seems to have weak coverage and Cingular, I threw out years ago when they had no service in New Mexico. Please give me some recommendations for the brand and type of phone and who to use in the USA. Thanks, GW
