Which PSU is compatible with i7-6700k?

I have been trying to get my PC to boot for ages now only to recently discover that the problem lay with the PSU, not my motherboard. I have asked so many people but no one seems to be able to recommend a suitable PSU for my build. I would really appreciate any suggestions or help with this issue, thanks!
intel core i7-6700k
GTX 1080
Asus Z-170 deluxe mobo
corsair vengeance 16GB RAM
corsair H115i CPU cooler
Asus STX soundcard II
LG OS drive
PSU (incompatible): EVGA Supernova 850w
I have calculated the approximate wattage needed for the system which is around 450-500w

If anyone could suggest a PSU compatible with this build I would greatly appreciate it.

Change sleep state

In reply to: Are you trying to use the sleep states?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I think this PSU is automatically in sleep state but I can't change the setting of the BIOS because I can't get a display on my monitor.
Could you be more clear as to how to fix it ?

Never heard of such a thing.

I'm guessing now that you have a dead PC. To fix that depends on what's not right. But let's go with what you claim to be the problem. Go get a PSU that lists Skylake.

What's incompatible about the psu?

Can you get into the bios?

PSU in sleep state

In reply to: In compatible

Apparently the problem is that the PSU is in sleep state and not delivering enough power to the mobo, however if there is not enough power to display an image on my monitor I can't access the BIOS and change the setting.

Remove the video card and plug the monitor into the mobo.
Remove the sound card.
Unplug the hdd and optical.

Power it up.
Do you get a display?
Does the cpu fan spin?
