Which processor should i get? A noticable difference?

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0GHz) vs. Intel(R) Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.50GHz)?

Im going to buy a laptop soon and im looking at the dell vostro or the hp dv6700(intel NOT amd)

on what you're doing

For just regular use as a word processor/web browser, I'm sure the 2.0Ghz will fit your needs and you wouldn't notice any difference.

For gaming, video editing, and the such, the 2.50ghz would probably make a noticeable difference.

the t9300 is 35% afaster in cpu intensive tasks. if you pair both with a fast 7200rpm hard drive, the difference will be very noticeable... but if they're both saddled with 5400rpm drives, not so much.

but laptops using the t9300 vs. the t5750 shouldn't be in the same price range.
