which processor, grafix card, and hard disk?

guys,
i am an architecture student, planning to build my new comp.. i can wait for a couple of months. but i usually run high graphics softwares like max and maya. i rarely run games and m always on the net. i take lots of hi res photos and i need large storage capacity hdd for that.. on an average i take some 50 6mp photos in a week... my budget is Rs.55000($1300). i can compromise my processor for my graphics card. i badly need better graphics... the comp which m building now should stay problem free for atleast 3 years.
please help.

Whatever operating system you use, be sure that it has SMP support.
If not, try a PPC or SPARC processor for your main computer and have an Intel or Intel-clone for the graphics.
The SPARC is ouit of your range but a used PPC should be available for you.
Remember, this is just a suggestion.
