I picked up the dv6-1361sb which is in the same league. Let me share that it is no "lap" machine. It's too warm for that. Those models should be similar so be sure you are ready to use on the desk.

Ok the one thing you learn is that you get to live with the CPU choice so for me I went with the higher clock rate since I need it to hang in there for a few years. On the other hand I don't need BR so that was not a consideration.

The neat part about the C2D is that it will clock up and down as needed.

I opted for a 7200 RPM drive. You may want to consider moving back the the usual 320GB faster drive.
