Which pro-level camera to buy?

Feb 28, 2006 10:35AM PST

Getting ready to buy a digital camera and need some help on which one to get. Looking to start filming a documentary, so I'm hoping to get as high a level of quality as possible and keep it around $5,000. I've been reading a great deal about the Canon XL2 and the Panasonic AG-DVX100B but find myself as confused as ever. I want to go HD if I can...

Please help!

heres what I know though the three cameras you should even consider without a doubt is Cannon XL2=around $5000 or more the Panosonic= same about or less, and the sony HD-R1 = $3,500 but the ultimate camera on the market now the new Cannon XL-H1 does both HD and 24 but running about $9,000 or more! but I would definilty consider the XL2 or if you want HD the Sony!!!
