Which printer?

I am about to purchase a new Mac and also need a new printer. I want to be able to print Adobe Postscript and also the occasional photograph. The three printers that meet these specifications are Epson 2200, HP Deskjet 9680 (9650 series) and HP LaserJet 2550 (might need an additional photoprinter for this one).

Does anyone have any experience or recommendation as to which I should purchase?

I'm also shopping around for printers although I'm not looking at the higher price ones (I don't use it often). I read thru a several websites those have reviews on printers. It seems like HP has very low user reviews. Some may have high editor review but the user reviews are totally opposite. I'm not taking any chance with HP printers.

IMHO, many companies have low quality control especially on printers. I went thru 2 types of canons (can't recall the models since I threw them away already) those people highly recommended and had no luck with them. One of them I had to return it twice before got it to work properly.

Also, I read that HP software takes a whole lot of space from your hard drive but I've never owned one so I can't really confirm it.

Well, I don't have a problem with HP - have had 3 of them and all worked well and their tech support was good. I also have an Epson which works very well although it is noisy and takes a long time to warm up, but some user reviews indicate their tech support is practically nonexistent - I don't know because I haven't needed it.

What I was interested in was opinions of the specific models mentioned. The best manufacturers can put out lemons and that is what I want to avoid.
