Which players support m4a?

Aug 10, 2009 5:14PM PDT

Is there a list of players other than the iPod which support the m4a format? I have recorded a large song collection with iGetMusic (http://www.amphony.com/igetmusic/index.htm) which is in the Apple m4a format. Converting to MP3 would double the file size of the songs.

All of the newer Sony players of the last couple of years, Archos 5 & 7, Creative Zen X-Fi and Creative Zen (but not the Zen MX) that I know of.

Also the Samsung P3

...except the filetype has to be renamed to a .AAC container(!). Similar to how my early Sony PSP worked with .m4a files (I think I had to rename to .mp4, if I remember right).

Something of a pain. WHY Samsung didn't just recognize the .m4a container like Microsoft, Sony, Creative and others is beyond me.
