Re: best e-commerce platform apart from the ads gives sites listing the best 4, 6, 7, 10, 11 ones. Those are much more informative than any answer given here.

Selecting and implementing the one that's best for you is a nice assignment for a bachelor IT student, if you don't have the time or competencies needed yourself.

Years ago.

I was asked that and my answer then and still is GoDaddy since they automate a lot of the work. You pretty much put up what you have for sale and the work isn't too bad for getting your little store online.

If you just have a few items to move, then Ebay and for some, Amazon.

-> Story time. The company that asked me hired a consultant/programmer and they said "Oh, no, you want a full custom web site. I'll start on that." They went down that road for about 3 years and close to 200 thousand USD and still had no web presence or site for their products. About year 4 they had had enough and fired that consultant and the next one was asked the same question. They said "GoDaddy and I can have your store live in about a week."

The store went live in a week, and they've been adding products ever since.

Sometimes these lessons must be repeated.

Wordpress is the best one

Of the many platforms that support e-commerce, it does provide a distinct advantage, where we can choose and compare, which is the best.

Based on experience, one of the best CMS platforms that I have used, Wordpress seems to be an option. This is because WordPress can be integrated with many plugins, one of which is a plugin related to e-commerce. In addition, several features in Wordpress is also very easy to learn.
