Question

Which piece of hardware is failing?

Sep 27, 2015 8:28AM PDT

My PC keeps shutting off and refuses to boot back up. It powers up, so it isnt the power supply. Sometimes the bios will load but the system will not. Other times the pc will just power on but nothing, not even bios, will load. So is it the hardrive, mobo, or cpu?

Answer
That's not a sign that it's not the PSU.

I guess there are a lot of new techs out there. You can rule out the HDD by unplugging that. It's not needed during testing.

if the bios will not load, then replace the battery on the motherboard.
