which PDA

Nov 4, 2004 12:01PM PST

I am new with PDA's. I need help with a christmas present for my real estate agent wife. (I'm hoping that there are some real estate agents reading this forum that can help). The basic needs without having to upgrade within 6 months is #1 priority. Money is no object but I do expect performance bucks! I would like something to link to the home computer. By the way, on a different subject, are there any that can be used with Quick Books? Any Help? Please? Only 51 days till Christmas....AHHHHHH!

Ignore my red "m".

On my Christmas wish list is the Dell X30 with the 624 MHz CPU and WiFi. I picked up a WiFi "sniffer" and have found internet access at many public libraries and more. The X30 is reviewed at http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/Dell_axim_X30.htm and I'd opt for the bigger battery if one wants to use the WiFi for extended periods.

Would you opt for the Dell GPS or stick with the trusty map book.

Thanks for all your help! There was one other question that I left off my last post. Would you still choose the X30 if you had the option of the X50v? With current promotions, there is about $135 difference. This is my last post before purchase! My next thread will be...What do I do with this thing Happy

Other than a passing reference to quickbooks - not a very PDA application in my mind - what do you want the PDA to DO!?!?!?! Appointments, calendar, notes, spreadsheets? They all do that. Color screen? MP3?? Provide a goal, you'll get some useful feedback.
