Which one: HP Pavilion dv3510nr or Acer Aspire 3935?

I will be going to college in the fall and am going to get a new laptop.
Which one is better (considering i will be commuting quite a bit)?
Or what other laptops under $1000 would you recommend?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would get the HP. It's got the larger screen, an extra gig of RAM, and a better graphics card.
