as that would save you a crap load of money, but i would, usually not, pick the alienware for the warranty, the 7800 sli and well, i'd just rather spend my money there.
but, he should really think about building it himself as that will save him money and he can pick components piece by piece.

My friend is having a delema on what top of the line gaming compture to get. he wants this alien ware area 51 7500 ( http://www.alienware.com/product_detail_pages/Area-51_7500/area-51_7500_specs.aspx?SysCode=PC-AREA51-7500-R1&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT )its around $5,000. i went to my trusty TigerDirect and found him this one ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1509046&CatId=0 )i know it doesnt have the speakers and monitor there but i added the same ones from the alienware package to this^^^. my total came up to $3,094. so Which one is better for gaming.
p.s. i knwo the alienware package have the Nvidia SLi 7800's in them, but really who needs to video cards in there machine at once?LOL
