Which mp3 should i get?

Dec 17, 2008 2:49AM PST

*-*Please read all of this*-*

I'm getting really confused...

Samsung p2 (or wait for samsung p3), iriver spinn, or cowon s9 curve?

All very nice mp3's with touch screens.

the p3 is coming out early next year and is a little better than the p2, the p3 has an external speaker, better casing, and a new apps/widgets...but still no wifi! however you can pair it with your phone via bluetooth...i thought that was awesome

the spinn is pretty cool. it has a spinner for navigating that is very useful, and a bigger touch screen than the p2-3, but ive heard its not quite as good.

the s9 curve is like the iPod touch but better in almost every aspect, and sells for a lot lower. it has all the features, wifi (i think), external speaker, apps, etc. the same thing but not...if you know what i mean. it looks a little better in my opinion too,

Please share your opinions, im hoping to get one of these. they are all very very nice, it's just becomes a matter of opinion and so on. if i wait for the p3, im starting to think it will be worth it and i should go with that, it's release should be early next year. and the mp3 i have now (sony walkman video) will suit me just fine if i end up picking the p3.

help me!

*note* no matter what i go with, i will probably go for 8gb, that's the perfect size of memory for me.

EDIT- I will not even consider iPod anything for a couple reasons. Believe it or not, they are only average on sound quality...the ones i have listed are very good on sound quality. I'm looking to upgrade to a touch screen. And the biggest reason i wont get one of all; everyone has them! Tons and tons of people have iPods, there are so many alternatives that are better for the same (if not lower) price(s). i want something different, something that not every kid in my school already has (iPod). Plus iPods can only use iTunes...***? thats so stupid. iTunes sucks. and the headphones that come with iPods suck. they just turn down the already only average sound quality of the iPod.

I used to have an iRiver, very very nice mp3 player. Best sound quality i think I've ever had from an mp3. But I got an iRiver before they became good, so the mp3 had some software problems and when my house burnt down, that went with it. And i have also had a creative zen. it was cool, you could set pictures as the background, change themes...awesome. BUT it had meteoker sound quality and i think i dropped it onto the floor from about 3 feet up, TWICE and it never worked again. then (now) i have the sony walkman mp3 player. it is amazing, but no touch screen and kind of a small screen at that, i have gotten this thing wet, dropped it, etc. it's still kickin just damn fine. and it has awesome sound quality. it's just ive had it for a while and i want a bigger (touch) screen. or i could even go with the sony walkman touch, but that's not coming out for a while and i really just dont feel like waiting...

Zune, I do not wish to get a zune, just personal preferences.

I don't really want to wait past Febuary of '09 for a new mp3, sooo yeah...

I've had nothing but good experiences with all of Cowon's players.

Narrowed it down

I've narrowed it down to two of those, the Samsung P3, when it comes out in january, or the iRiver Spinn....

Good choices

Nice choice's there, I also like what you said about the ipod's. Everyone has one, and they have only average audio quality. If I were you I would go for the Samsung P3. A good setup I found was the Samsung P2 paired with the Koss Portapro headphone's.
