Which Mp3 player?

by ghettosermon / December 15, 2005 2:13 AM PST

Which mp3 player should I get. The 1GB sandisk sansa or the 1GB creative zen nano. They are basically the same price plus I read that both are pretty good. The sound quality and radio option are important to me.

another question I have is about durability. I heard that the Creative players break easily. What about the Sansa?

Very Tough

The Sansas have a sturdy metal back. They are extraordinarily tough. They'll take tough drops. You may get a scratch on the screen but it's doubtful you'll break one.

I also heard that the Sansa was pretty buggy. Is that true?

I don't know specifically about these two players but both are good makes. For sound quality on a budget I'd look into the Cowon iAudio U2. Prices are bound to come down further as more U3s make it into shops.

Sansa is not buggy

I once posted a message awhile ago that the Sansa was buggy because it skipped out of tracks halfway into them. Turned out to be a defective unit. I have had three others, due to memory upgrades, and none of them have had a monement's trouble.

M230 Backlight

Can someone who has one of these tell me of the backlight on theirs is
a bit uneven? Light seems to be at Sansa logo end instead of SanDisk
end and is brighter where the light is physically located. I dont
expect laptop quality backlighting but I have a watch with Indigo
backlighting and it is not ueven. Thanks in advance!
