In your case, VERY PERSONAL CHOICE.

Those are for folk that demand something other than the classic mouse. Only you can make this choice this time around.

I don't think I can help you decide but...

let me share my experience with you. Reason I can't decide what's best for you because I don't know much about 3D editing or what's involve. My use of the mouse is very simple...surfing and video editing. Until this year, I LOVE my trackball. I couldn't do without it. But This year I got to use a mouse with scrolling wheel...and now I can drop my trackball. If you are going to get one of those, try it out to see how it fit your hand. I got small hand and I am sure one of them wouldn't be comfortable my hand.
