these require power and speed. A board with SLI or crossfire capabilities. 2 or more PCIe slots. 4 GB RAM. With Sata support should be available for a board like this but check anyway. In short a top of the line board by a major brand. Myself I'd go Asus.
If your a pro.:
Sound will be a problem with this board.
Just a "want a be" :
Better sound with this one. More then likely you will want a PCI sound card with either board.
You should ask a consultant if your serious about this.

Hey all, I'm new to building computers, this is my first actually. My question is, what type of motherboard should I be looking for. I'm building the computer for design and possibly digital audio workstation(DAW), I'm going with a standard 10bay atx case and probably going with a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Kentsfield.
