Question

Which Mobile should I buy? (3 Main Flagship Mobiles)

Nov 24, 2015 6:01PM PST

So basically, I can get any mobile available on the market by January and I have no idea which one to choose. I am torn between the 3 main Flagship Mobiles from Apple (iPhone 6S Plus 64gb) Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ (64gb) and the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium (160gb, 32gb+128gb microSD)

I have looked into all of them extensively and tried them out in store and this is what I think of the following mobiles:

Apple iPhone 6s Plus 64gb-
As I fancy starting vlogging in the next year I am looking for a mobile that has a really good camera for recording, 1080p 60fps 4K 30fps, fantastic I think, a really nice frame rate at highest quality and perfect frame rate at the household average quality resolution. However, 64gb without expandable storage is abit of an inconvenience when it comes to storing footage even with a 2tb External Hard drive and seeing how the average 10 minute video in 4K getting on for 4GB of storage, thats alot so chances are that I would have to settle with 1080p and get about 1 hour of footage for the same amount of storage, which, although is super sharp and 60fps fluid, it kind of defeats the point of having a 4K recording function. Also iOS has never really appealed to me an Safari is my least favoured browser.
I cannot however deny the absolutely epic design of the phone, its heavy, its metal, Rose Gold is a beautiful colour as is Silver and the screen is a nice 1080p Retina screen and the Audio is also really nice.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ 64gb
Again, from a recording point of view, the SGS6E+ achieves flawless recording that record just as well as an iPhone and the camera itself is a hefty 2K camera which is just...well twice as good as 1080p Happy and with an extra 1gb of RAM to boot making things just that much smoother. Similar problem with storage and the lack of expandable storage really makes me unhappy as I have never seen a mobile design so beautifully in my life, its marvelous to look at and to use.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
This mobile for me has everything, it has a 4K screen, 1080p 60fps 4K 30fps 23MP camera and 4gb of RAM and best of all 256gb of EXPANDABLE STORAGE. That said however it is a damn ugly thing, even in Chrome it just looks samey and in no way impressive. The camera functions and looks just the same as my Z2 but thats just me and if I am away from recording I like the idea of travelling for hours be it on a train, coach or place and having a nice 5.5 inch 4K screen to watch Top Gear, The Mighty Boosh or Red Dwarf Happy and seeing how I can get a full weeks worth of filming done in either quality setting as well as have ample space for a huge list of TV series just really appeals to me.

So, from personal experience on these mobiles, can you help me determine which one I should choose and why Happy

Thanks

not a real problem

as long as you get apps from the play store, it is highly unlikely you will be infected. apple has the very same issue but dont get much press about it though it is harder to get third party apps for apple. Downloading apps from third party is always risky.

truth be told, all three are good phones. You would not go wrong with any of them. Of the three, I would go with the samsung edge mainly because of samsung pay. You can use samsung pay just about anywhere while apple pay, android pay and others are very limited.

So it's still possible.

Back to Google to demand a fix. Why? Notice that the maker will not restore your phone and may charge you for the service. This is unacceptable.

I should say that if you do have the budget then you might as well choose an iPhone 6 plus then if not Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be your second good choice also.

You are looking at the wrong device for that type of video

Weeks worth of footage? Ideally, with those required resolutions and internal space limitations, you should be obtaining/using a separate video capture device. I see even the Sony as having issues potentially, given you are using the device also as a smartphone with (often buggy/laggy) apps/multiple radios/etc.

I think you should go for Samsung mobiles because their display is really good. Like I played Pump Jump a new trending game on Google Play Store, and Samsung mobile multiplied the graphics !!

My personal suggestion is to go with Apple iPhone 6s Plus 64gb. This can be good option in premium class smartphone. Security, design, configuration everything is superb.
