Be sure to get a nice laptop cooling pad if you start to render video.
The CPU in both cases used DDR2.
I?m not a gamer but I do want multitasking capabilities, some video editing and the ability to watch AVCHD movies from a camcorder. Maybe some HD or AVCHD editing when the software comes along. It seems the Gateway has a better graphics card, but the HP has a better processor. Which would be the better performer? The HP comes out more expensive as configured, but that is ok if the performance is there. Does the DDR2 or DDR3 memory make a difference?
