Question

Which laptop should I buy?

by raufal / December 8, 2014 4:39 PM PST

Asking for advice of which laptop should I buy given the brand and specs. Both of this has the same price. They just differ in the specs. The laptop will be use for web and software development. Please no bias here.

Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series
- Intel Core i5-4210U, 1.70Ghz
- 8 GB DDR3
- 1 TB HDD
- 15.6" HD Display
- 2 GB Dedicated VRAM

Asus K550-116
- Intel Core i7-4500U
- 6 GB DDR3
- 750 GB HDD
- 15.6" HD Display
- 2 GB Dedicated VRAM

My first choice here was the Dell because that is the brand i am prefered of. But the Asus has an Intel i7 processor but lower RAM than the Dell. As of now I cant decide which of the two, That's why i am asking for help and advice. Please no bias here.

Follow-up Question:
Is the RAM of that Asus laptop is expandable?
Thank you.

I can't compare these because one is from a series. Also I can't guess if there is some gaming angle to this.

In reply to: And Why...

The other I can't find which one to compare. I guess you haven't compare many laptops yet to know why we must have the exact model numbers and not a series.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
