main purpose of laptop

Hi, I will use laptop mainly for reading, editing text, some light works in photoshop, from secondary - watching movies and a little internet surfing....

Since I'm going to use the laptop in different situations, I mean sometimes in standing, sometimes in sitting, that is why I need little laptop with good angles for viewing (IPS).

What's this used for?

I have 1080 on my current laptop and I can't imagine how tiny text might get on 13 inches but your choice as you know about that. The R7 is interesting but you find the farther out you go the less the lifespan.

For me HP was my last HP. Read link as for me HP didn't honor the warranty, plus made it worse for my efforts. I'm sure there are good people that work there but HP? Not so much as we're sorry. In fact, insults about buying their own product!

Main purpose of laptop

Hi, thank you for information.
Mainly I will use laptop for text reading (from MS Word) and editing, sometimes some light works in photoshop, battery life is not necessary for me, I prefer performance and a good display, 720p is pixelated, I guess 1080p will be ok.
Do you have any model for recommendation ?

I have a 768 line display on a small laptop.

It's the x202e and it's not pixelated here. The DPI is the same as my 1080p on my 15 inch laptop. That said you know text can get really tiny at 1080p on a 13 inch laptop.

I'd look at the 2 Acers you listed again.

Photoshop would be the biggest resource user so be sure to get 8GB RAM (I didn't pull up your links the second time.)

If it were me I would go with the Acer

Aspire V 13 because of the 256 SSD. I do like the higher resolution of the Envy but 128 gb will go quick for me.

White laptops

Thanks, I guess Aspire V 13 can be a good choice for me, just all the keyboard is pure white, and may be reflected in the glossy display ... and bothered while working.

Do you have any experience with white laptops/glossy display ?

I think I'll get R7-371T-59ZK if i were you. The main reason is it's equipped with the SSD, becase I've experience the beauty of it.

HP Pavilion 13

Do you need touchscreen function for the work purpose? I’ll look at HP Pavilion 13 because it has reasonable price and fit your demand as well. On the other hand, if you want to have better using experience you should upgrade your laptop and find another option. The 15.6 inch screen is better to look at. You could consider about MSI CX series as well.

15.6 - too big, HP - too hot

Touch screen function not important to me, but 15 inch laptops too big, and not so comfortable for me to use.
Recently, I read a lot about the bad cooling system in HP laptops...so now i not sure HP's laptops is reliable....
New Dell Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 looks promising, I guess and it can be not bad choice.
