Question

Which laptop do you recommend for a university student?

Aug 25, 2015 7:59PM PDT

Hello everyone,

I am trying to decide on which laptop I should get.
Just a little bit about my computer usage:
I am not a gamer, but I do watch a lot of movies, youtube videos, and also surf internet, work on some documents, ppt, excel, and SNS. My budget is around $500 and I am torn between these two laptops:
1. HP Pavilion 15.6"

2. Acer Aspire E17

Which laptop would you recommend for a regular university student? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!! Happy

Check with the university to see if they partner with laptop makers that offer products suitable to its student's needs. You generally get a better price. Something else to consider is whether the laptop needs to be rugged enough to spend much if its life bouncing around in a backpack. Some are built tougher than others.

Move to the 11 to 15 inch models.
