Which is the better? Kodak CX 7530 vs. Olympus C-770

May 2, 2005 11:04PM PDT

Which camera is better for the money? The Kodak C-7530 or the Olympus C-770? Kodak has 5 pixels and Olympus has 4, but Olympus also has a 10x zoom vs. only 3x for Kodak. I would like to purchase a digital camera with movie capability (with sound) and high quality photos. I am willing to spend up to $350.00. Any advice would be appreciated, even an alternative brand and model. Thanks.

I picked up a refurb dx7590 for under 350 which has the 10X and more from geeks.com

It's a very nice camera and I added a 512MB SD card to it.

Hi Donato

Comparing these two cameras is sort of an apples to oranges comparsion. Kodak is 5MP\3x zoom and Olympus is 4MP\10X. I like the Olympus for it's zoom. It also has sound that you can playback on the camera (some don't have this feature) Best Buy has it for $399 but shop around and you can find it cheaper.

Pricegrabber.com is a good site for comparison shopping, but just make sure you trust the dealer.

Good luck!
