Which is the BEST Tablet PC for me.

by mmccrea / January 14, 2009 5:49 AM PST

I would like to hear from anybody that uses a Tablet PC on a daily basis. I know that I want my next Laptop to be a Tablet, although I have had some conflicting information in my search. If any of you out there can help, I would appreichate your suggestions. Here is what I need.
1) A screen that is at least 14" (I have setup some HP models with 12" screens and I find my old tired eyes have a hard time to see everything)
2) A screen that is able to be used in natural sunlight. (I plan to use this Tablet as my main computer and I will be useing it on Jobsites daily, for inventory as well for site meetings and doing hazard assesments of job sites.
3) Power & HDD size (larger the better); as I am a multi tasker with many resource hungry types of software.

PLUS: 802.11n as 802.11g is so old school. Docking capabilitys would also be a great feature. Extra USB ports as 2, is just not enough

So far I have found that Gateway and Fujitsu are the only Tablets that will have the screen size and natural light features I will need. I know I will have to have added weight because of screen size but that is ok because

Thank you in advance.
Michael

In reply to: Fujitsu

Thank you for your reply as I have been leaning that way myself. All the NS Goverment Enviroment & Labour employees ahve the same model I am looking at and using it for the same job. I just wish I could get a 14" screen.
Cheers,
Michael
