Which is a better graphics card for gaming? The 128MB DDR ATI's MOBILITY? RADEON X300 PCI Express x16 Graphics or the 128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)?

OF course the x300, like i said the 200m is integrated depending on the one you choose from the r4000, it will eihter share system Ram or be both the one with hypermemory comes with integrated and shares another 128mb. The ati 200m is based on teh x300se. The x300se is a rip off of the x300 so the ati 200m is a huge ripoff of the x300. As for noticing, the 200m is still better than intel's GMA 900. You probably won't notice much from the 2, but like i told you on aim, i still recommend the R4000 because of 64-bit, as your desktop isn't 64-bit and you're getting the laptop free as a gift anyway. Also, since your other choice is dell 6000, its good for mobility, but you said you wanted to game, so you don't really need the mobility.

What is the best laptop put there that's less than $2000?

I heard the fan is loud for the R4000, even though it has 2 fans. If I decide to pay back my cousin and can get a really good one, what laptop you prefer and why? The Dell 9300? HP ZD8000?

Between, the R4000, the ZD 8000, Dell 6000, Dell 9300, i would have to say if you don't want 64-bit, get the 9300. Because the top-of the line Pentium M will beat AMDs Athons, and Pentium 4s. After 9300, and you want fast get the R4000 or 6000 (R4000 if you want to kill 2 birds with one stone, lol since you don't have a 64-bit desktop), also the R4000 has more higher-end processors than the ZD8000, but the ZD8000 has better gfx, X300 or X600. I prefer the 9300 or 6000 because of heat issues with the ZD8000 and low battery life from the AMD also. Pentium M offers high performance and lots of battery life, also very light. The 9300 also has the best gfx in the category with a 6800go pci-express gfx card.

Xpress 200M Shared or Dedicated?
Aug 6, 2005 9:49AM PDT

Sorry for my ignorance, but I am getting confused with r4000/ze6000 and the display chip. The HP website claims that its dedicated while the ATI website claims that Hypermemory uses the system memory! Which one is it?

Its 128MB dedicated depending on gfx option chosen. Any additionaly memory needed, such as a program needs 224mb, 96mb will be taken from system memory. The two options are 128mb or 32mb. Both will share memory.

Ok but which will perfom better a 128MB Xpress 200 sucking system RAM in a system with 768-1GB or a 64MB dedicated X300.... or maybe they will just be really similar?
