Which home services website to use?

Just moved to Dallas a month back. I wanted to get some home stuff done like lawn mowing, cleaning etc.
Can someone suggest what is the best method to get this done. The traditional yellow page approach is crappy!!!! I need someone who is well recommended.....
There are a few sites for it...wanted someone who had used any/all of them to provide their inputs. thanks

Re: crowd recommendation

Maybe few of our members living in Dallas visited the Small Business and Startup Forum between 2:06 and 9:08 AM today? I even wonder if it's the right forum for this question.

There's Yelp and AngiesList out there.

But since I don't live in your neighborhood....
