Don't find much difference. But you may want to find those reviews and look under the noise tests.
Coil whine might be treated with shellac on the coils.
Hello,
I'm planning on upgrading my GPU: "MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G" to "GTX 1080". But I'm struggling to decide which model to buy. My options are: Gigabyte G1, Msi (Armor and Gaming X) ASUS Strix. (I live in a small country and apparently they don't sell EVGA model here for some reason.)
Things to keep in mind:
a) I'm not planning to overclock the card, so it's right out of the box.
b) Card should have quality parts and good cooling system (quiet if possible)
So far I have only used Gigabyte and Msi products. Satisfied with both of them. Gigabyte had a metal plate at the top of the card, which was good, but was louder under the load. MSI however was quiet under the load. But that was my first card that had a coil whine. And the top of the card was all plastic.
I appreciate any help that you can provide,
Chris
