Which graphic card is better?

I have a Sony Vaio R820 that came with an ATI Radeon x 300 graphic card, the computer is almost three years old, so I bought another budgeted graphic card for upgrade (EVGA GeForce 7300 GS, 256 MB), can anyone tell me is this a right move? I am doing some low end games and spend time mostly in watching video.
