When the receiving doesn't know, I have to send both DVD-R and DVD+R disks. There is NO database of what DVD players play what type media. Don't get too upset about it because it's the result of the prolonged "format war" that never seemed to end and the end was... neither type wiped out the other.

Can't your friend tell what DVD capabilites thier reader has? Once found out, apply to that type of media. As Robert mentioned, it won't be totally out of line if both types of media are send to cover all bases hopefully.

good luck -----Willy Happy

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
