Which DLP? Samsung, Mitsubishi or another?

Aug 23, 2005 8:52AM PDT

Hi! I am going crazy trying to do research on-line, so that I can make somewhat of an intelligent decision as to which TV to buy.

I would like to purchase a DLP, because it sounds as though that would provide me with the best picture, if I am not able to afford a plasma screen. I am looking to spend between $2500 and $3500 and the space I have is 52" wide. Both the Samsung and Mitsubishi have models that will leave a 2 or so inch space around the sides.

However, I am torn after reading the comment pages on many of the sites. Excess noise, glare, other problems....Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your help.

Get the new Toshiba HM195 1080P DLP. Its a 56" thats only 51 1/2 inches wide. This will be a very nice tv and in your price range at 3200. I actually placed my first order for one today (and I think its the first out of any sears store at all since its only been available to order since late last week) and it should be in by the 2nd week in Sept.

Heres a link with a little more info

I agree, Toshiba all the way. You won't be disappointed. I have the 52HMX94 (DLP). Great looking, great picture and color reproduction (I researched for a long time), and very future proof (has 2x HDMI ports).
