General discussion

which digital camera to buy?

Jan 7, 2005 8:46PM PST

I am a first time digital camera buyer. I have done some reasearch and looked at some cameras and narrowed it down to the Kodak 7535 and the Samsung A6. However since looking at some reviews i am worried as they all seem to indicate that people have had problems with the software with the Kodak. And also problems with the Samsung camera menus frezzing....Could anyone shed any light on this? Or recommend another camera of around the same price?
Thanks

Question
Jan 7, 2005 11:40PM PST

I can not find any information on a Kodak 7535 camera.

I did find a Kodak CX7530......but no 7535.

Can you verify that camera number?

Samsung A6 & Kodak CX7530

I can not find enough information on the A6 to make any type of judgement.

I can find no reviews and no sample photos.

I can find very few places that sell this camera, so you may have trouble finding one.

Can't help on this one.

To trvlr2348 pertaining to digital camera info
Jun 7, 2005 10:57PM PDT

I am looking for a digital camera and the info link was extremely helpful. Thanks. Would you recommend the Kodak DX 7590 digital since it has the 10x optical zoom and is reasonably priced. As you know alot of these cameras can get pricey and I just want to take a good picture of family and friends.

I own the dx7590.

I still have my dx6490 as well and was the reason I stepped up to the dx7590. In short I wanted the lower lag time of the newer model.

I'd buy it again. Just sharing that I picked mine up refurb from geeks com.

Dx7590

Since the DX 7590 does not have a stabilizer, do you find that is a problem? Also does the DX 7590 offer the external flash option or hot shoe to prevent red eye? I take alot of pictures of my grandson and he has big blue eyes with large pupils and as you can imagine I get alot of red eye pictures; therefore the external flash or hot shoe feature would be nice.
