I have Cingular and use the multi-network Nokia 6340I, which works on GSM, Analog and TDMA networks. Cingular doesn't offer that phone any longer, but it's the best one I've ever had. I've always had really good luck with the Nokia phones. Cingular is doing away with TDMA and Verizon Wireless uses CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). Go to mobiledia.com or cellreception.com, there you can check out what people have to say about the different phones and carriers. Recently, Verizon was ranked #1 in customer service, where Cingular came in 3rd and AT&T last, but I've never had any trouble with Cingular, they have always treated me great. Right now with Cingular, since they're changing to GSM technology, some areas reception my not be as good because they don't have all the towers converted over from TDMA to GSM, although GSM towers tend to carry the signal around 10 miles farther.
I was wondering if such a phone exist. I only travel within the USA and wondered which phone has the best chance of finding a signal. Thanks
