Which camera to get?!

Jun 8, 2005 3:29AM PDT

I am studying abroad this summer in Paris and I am in the process of choosing/buying my very first digital camera (yes, I know, a little behind the times). Problem is that I am overwhelmed by the selection. I want something small and light, but good picture quality and large range of flash to take pictures of everything I can while in Paris (day and night). Someone please help with advice or a camera reccomendation! Thanks!

Which Camera

I can give you some starting points.
Only you can decide which camera is best for you.

If you like the small thin cameras start with the Canon SD400 or SD500.

If you like a small but thicker camera start with the Nikon 5900 or 7900

.........................................

If you would like a camera that gives you more control,
take a look at the Canon S70 for an average size camera.

.....................................

As a whole, smaller digital camera do not have a strong flash. Of the ones above, the Canon SD500 has the brightest flash.

What if I were to look at a camera on a smaller budget, say under $300? What would you recommend?

Then look at the Nikon 5900.
