Sony hx100v

Hi Lori:---- i am an great image quality lover but i am not sure which one the better between these.which one i buy for my next trip to malaysia and singapore.which of this camera is fast and best value to buy.

Image Sharpness

These two cameras take excellent photographs.
I could flip a coin and take whatever came up, without any regrets.

When you get down to absolute sharpness of the image I give the Canon SX40 the edge.
While the Sony HX100V has a lens that is every bit as good as the Canon, the 16 megapixel sensor causes Sony to have to use more noise reduction which causes loss of detail in things like grass and leaves on trees.

Near the end of the article, the writer does some comparison to a Sony Alpha A100.
For those not familiar with the A100 it is a DSLR camera.

I would stick to canon because it was a camera maker way b4 sony was sony should stick to tvs
